JANE SANTEN

Jane Santen is a dance teacher and choreographer, based out of the GTA in Ontario, who specializes in acrobatics. She is also a co-founder of Acro Alliance – a group of passionate acro teachers who look to share their knowledge and love for the genre by producing workshops and in-studio experiences across Canada and Australia.

Jane began dancing at the age of two but did not start competing or taking acro seriously until she was 11. Although her start in the dance world was slow, her passion for acrobatics and teaching grew fast and strong. Miss Santen was a teaching assistant in many different genres since the beginning of her teens until she was allowed to teach her own class at her dance studio. From there her passion and hard work has allowed her to become the head of the acro department at Theatre Dance Academy.

Jane and her co-founders at Acro Alliance have worked together with an open dialog to develop a unique way of teaching the art which develops strong, beautiful acrobats who excel at both tumbling and contortion. They take pride in training employable acrobats who can excel at whatever they are asked to do. Acro Alliance continues to educate themselves so they are able to expand their knowledge and project that into their training methods.
