VANESSA STEAD
Vanessa Stead is a well-rounded dancer, performer, teacher and choreographer. An exciting part of her professional career has been performing on Season 2 of NBC’s World of Dance representing Toronto, Canada with Opus Dance Collective
Vanessa has also traveled throughout the Caribbean and Europe as a dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines’ on Freedom of the Seas and Adventure of the Seas, including the ballroom show, Invitation to Dance choreographed by Louis van Amstel.
She has performed at the Capezio Ace Awards in both NYC and Long Beach, CA, and Hit the Floor in Quebec in addition to many shows in Toronto including Harbourfront 60x60, The Choreographer’s Ball, Fever After Dark and many corporate events.
Vanessa is trained in RAD ballet, a graduate of the Adapt Teacher Training program in tap and jazz and Acrobatic Arts teacher training. She has taught across Durham and the GTA providing guest/substitute and permanent teaching along with choreography for recitals and competitions. Many of Vanessa’s students have won top marks, overalls and scholarships at competition, including competing at the Dance Awards in Las Vegas & Orlando . Vanessa is very proud member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance.
She looks forward to continuing her career in the performing arts, and sharing her passion for dance with the new generation of dancers!
