ROBERT HUTCHINSON

Robert Hutchinson is a dancer and actor that grew up in Mississauga, Ontario. He started dancing competitively when he was 9 years old at Canadian Dance Company, and then went to Joanne Chapman’s School of Dance during his last couple years of high school. He, then, attended Point Park University, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he received his BFA in dance. Then, upon graduating he decided to travel to New York City to study acting at the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts. After graduation he landed his first contractual touring job with Odyssey Dance Theatre performing in Utah’s hit halloween show Thriller. After that he started working for Disney, where he performed in Sak’s Fifth Avenue’s holiday special Once Upon a Holiday to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Snow White, and then a month later started rehearsing in Toronto with Disney Cruise Lines to work on the Disney Fantasy Ship as a Swing, where he performed in such shows like Aladdin and Believe. After getting off the ship he realized how much he missed home, especially after 6 years of traveling non- stop, and how much teaching and choreographing really means to him. He’s excited to focus more on that now, and to work with hungry young passionate artists that love dance and want to have fun.
