NATASHA STRILCHUK
Across the world, Natasha Strilchuk was born in a small town in Malaysia, more specifically in a nunnery for unwed mothers. She was adopted by two wonderful Canadians who were working abroad and was then raised in King’s Lynn, England and later they returned to Canada to the prairies of Regina, Saskatchewan. Natasha had a passion for dance at the young age of 3 and once she started, she never looked back. She was a competitive dancer for over 10 years and competed all over Canada and the U.S, receiving many accolades and special recognition for her performance abilities, “whose infectious personality and love of the stage, you cannot stop watching.” She received scholarships to continue her training with Triple Threat dance convention in 2009. Around the age of 12, Natasha discovered musical theatre. She trained with a youth musical theatre company called DIWC, where she would soon discover her career path. She performed in many musicals and eventually led her to audition and get into the Musical Theatre Performance program at Randolph College of the Performing Arts. After graduating, Natasha has worked in Toronto and across Canada, leading to her debut at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in 2017 for their 65th season. She was featured in what has been said to be the perfect musical, Guys & Dolls and Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. A highlight of her season was the filming of Romeo & Juliet for StratfordHD, which was shown on CBC and in movie theatres across Canada. Recently, Natasha has been seen in two seperate productions of Mamma Mia, at Neptune Theatre (Halifax) and Globe Theatre (Regina), which amounted to 6 months and 148 shows of Abba. Natasha would not be where she is today with out the love and support of her family, Josh and her dog Indy, and could not thank them more for all they’ve done to support her. With her fierce love of the arts and her unstoppable drive, watch as she continues to take the theatre and tv/film worlds by storm.
