KALINA SUTAROSKI
I have been dancing since I was 2.5 years old and from then on it has always and will continue to be my passion. I began as a ballerina like most toddlers but I was drawn to all of the amazing styles that were offered to me. After dancing and competing for 15 years under all disciplines and assisting the young dancers at my studio I had the opportunity to become a part of the university dance industry. During this time I realized that the choreography aspect of dance was just as fulfilling as performing. Luckily, I was surrounded by various opportunities to teach and choreograph such as living. the dance company, Vogue Charity Fashion Show, Mulberry Elementary School, and Get Low Dance Co. No matter the age, gender, style, or skill level I know I invoke a love for dance and self-expression in all my students. I take pride in having very innovative and modern choreography, which I continuously adapt to whatever is required of me. I like nothing better than to inspire those who I am teaching, just as much as they inspire me.
I thoroughly enjoy and prosper in many disciplines such as contemporary, however I have recently taken a keen interest in Hip Hop/Jazz Funk. Although it used to be quite foreign to me it now extremely interests me, and they have become my favorite styles. I continue to perform, freestyle, and choreograph any chance that I get, and I am always looking for new ways to spark my creativity. I am also presently a member of the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak, which has furthered my performance experience in these styles that I now love.
