JASON SERMONIA

Raised in Mississauga, Ontario and has been dancing for the past 22 years. Trained extensively at Canadian Dance Company (Mississauga) and Performing Dance Arts (Woodbridge) for 12 years specializing in jazz, contemporary, musical theatre and hip-hop. Jason competed and won numerous awards and titles across Canada and the US. At the age of 18 he started his professional career in the Toronto production of The Lion King that led him to many other shows such as Dirty Dancing; We Will Rock You (Toronto), Guys & Dolls; Anything Goes (Stratford), West Side Story (Edmonton/Calgary), Jesus Christ Superstar (Stratford/La Jolla/Broadway NYC), Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots (La Jolla) and most recently in the production of Mary Poppins (Cambridge/Grand Bend). Jason also appeared in the movies “Honey” starring Jessica Alba, “Chicago” starring Richard Gere, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renee Zellweger and performed on the 2012 66th Annual Tony Awards. Jason is thrilled to be giving back to the dance community and helping students reach their fullest potential.
