HEATHER MILLS
Heather Lynne Mills is a captivating performer and a motivated artist. She grew up in Langley, BC and is now living in Toronto. Over the course of her dance career she has studied many techniques, focusing on Ballet, Contemporary and Modern. During her post-secondary education she was the artistic director of Impact Dance Collective for two years at Trinity Western University. There she gained valuable experience teaching, choreographing and performing. With Impact Dance she produced Elevation, an evening-length work comprised of her own choreography. Since completing her BFA in Dance at York University Heather has worked with various choreographers, companies and artists, including Hanna Kiel, The Parahumans, LR Productions, the 2013 CMW Fest, and the CPA Centre where she acted in a musical. This past summer she performed with Kaeja d’Dance at their annual festival Porch View Dances. Heather is currently involved in a choreographic mentorship with Karen Kaeja. Heather has also discovered a passion for teaching. She has experience teaching all studio dance forms including choreographing groups, solos and duets for competition. She currently teaches with Kaeja d’Dance assisting Allen with Kaeja Elevations workshops and teaching the Kaeja’s Express Dance Curriculum in schools.
