ERICA BINDER

Erica Binder has been dancing since the age of four. She was a competitive dancer for twelve years and has performed frequently throughout her dance career.  She won numerous group awards including Overall high score at Galaxy of Stars (2009), as well as special awards for her solos for her passion and energy.  She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts Dance degree at York University where she was a fourth year member of York Dance Ensemble. Erica danced for two seasons in Canada’s Wonderland Haunt shows “Dead Awakening, and “Fangs.” She has danced for the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights as an Icicle Fairy as well as for corporate events. Erica danced in Nuite Blanche and various student choreographed pieces. She has appeared on television shows such as “Today’s Talent Time,” “A Brand New Day,” “Degrassi,” and commercials promoting the Green Belt. In addition, Erica hasearned her B.A.T.D Associate’s certificate in ballet and modern. She has taught dance for both competitive and recreational levels as well as in the school system. Erica’s most recent dancing job was on Disney Cruise Lines. She is currently working for The Travelling Stage, and TDC - Formerly The Dance Company. She takes dance classes in the city often, and enjoys hot yoga to maintain her inner peace and flexibility!  She has always had a passion for dancing, performing and teaching!
