DARREN BURKETT

Darren is thrilled to be on the roster here at Quick Ball Change!   National/International credits include currently performing as Michael Wormwood in Matilda the Musical (1st National) where he also taught numerous workshops across the US and Angelina Ballerina (International Tour).  He has also performed across Canada with such companies as The Ross Petty Panto, Drayton Entertainment, Thousand Island Playhouse, Western Canada Theatre, Persephone Theatre, The Arts Club Theatre, Chemainus Theatre Festival, Theatre Under the Stars, Royal City Musical Theatre.  Darren is the recipient of the Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Performance for his work as the Snail in Carousel Theatre’s A Year With Frog and Toad, and an Ovation Award for Male Gypsy of the Year. Previous work as a choreographer/assistant choreographer include Kiss of the Spider Woman (Eclipse Theatre Company), Buddy: A Buddy Holly Story (The Globe Theatre), A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum and Guys and Dolls (Carousel/Touchstone Theatre’s Lawyer Show), Eternal Hydra (Touchstone Theatre) and the motion picture Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. He has also been a dance educator and has taught around the globe for the past 16 years!
