CANDICE IRWIN

Candice Irwin, originally from Victoria, moved to Toronto to complete her BFA honours dance at York University. Irwin is the founding member of us arts collective, Artistic Director of both Body Stories and Hub14 and the Festival Director of Your Dance Fest. Highlights of Irwin’s choreographic credits include Always With Me (Body Stories), Human Landscapes at the ANNUAL ALBERTA DANCE FESTIVAL (Dancers’ Studio West) and Where shall we meet? At DANCE MATTERS (Body Stories). Irwin has been honoured to perform in Glaciology at NUIT BLANCHE (Anandam Dancetheatre), Kojira at the TORONTO FRINGE FESTIVAL (random acts of dance), and Nature of Things at ONTARIO DANCE WEEKEND (Tziporah Productions). Her teaching credits include contracts with the Toronto District School Board, the Harbourfront Centre, Canadian Children’s Dance Theatre and The Travelling Stage.
