CAITLIN GOGUEN
Growing up as a dancer provided Caitlin with a great sense of body awareness and a passion for movement from an early age. As a young dancer she trained in Ballet (RAD), jazz, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. She competed across North America in Regional and National competitions and was the proud recipient of numerous titles. Caitlin is a proud graduate of Sheridan College’s Music Theatre – Performance Program where she honed her dance skills, while further developing as an Actor/Singer and was honored with the Triple Threat Award at the end of her first year. Since graduating, Caitlin has travelled across Canada to appear in musicals as well as work in Film and Television. Favorite credits include: Legally Blonde (Margot, Elle u/s), West Side Story (Graziella), High School Musical (Ripper, Sharpay u/s), The Producers (Swing) – Neptune Theatre; The Wizard of OZ – Ross Petty Prods.; Chicago (Hunyak), How to Succeed In Business… (Smitty) – Drayton Entertainment. Film/TV credits include: Warehouse 13, Nikita, Hellcats (Cyclone Cheerleader), Suckerpunch.
Caitlin’s yoga practice began in her teens as a way to maintain strength and flexibility when she wasn’t dancing. It wasn’t until years later that she turned to yoga for its spiritual connection and as a way to counter anxiety and depression. In 2012 she received her 200RYT certification in Akhanda (Hatha) Yoga from Yogi Vishvketu in Rishikesh, India. Caitlin’s practice experience includes Ashtanga, Kundalini, Vinyasa and Hatha forms of yoga as well as Meditation.
