BRIANNA SALMON

Brianna Salmon is originally from Cranbrook BC, where she began her dance training at an early age. She has trained in various genres including ballet/pointe, contemporary, Graham, jazz, tap, improvisation and hip hop. She started assisting at the age of twelve, and was teaching and choreographing by sixteen. Salmon has successfully completed many ballet examinations under the RAD syllabus, as well as jazz and tap examinations under the ADAPT syllabus. She has performed throughout Canada and the U.S. through many festivals, competitions, and summer intensives. In 2012 and 2013, she performed as a local participant with Canada's Ballet Jörgen in Anastasia and Swan Lake. In 2014, Salmon moved to Toronto to study at The School of Toronto Dance Theatre, and graduated in May 2017. Since then she has performed works by many distinguished choreographers, a few including Kate Alton, Roberto Campanella, Robert Desrosiers, Robert Glumbek, Danny Grossman, Christopher House, Sasha Ivanochko, Hanna Kiel, Ofilio Sinbadinho, Apolonia Velasquez and more. She has also performed with Low Five Dance, NEAR&FAR Projects, The Parahumans, The Chimera Project's Company B, in Paul-André Fortier's October Sky at Nuit Blanche, and for Gadfly during Dance Ontario Dance Weekend.
