BAILEY WOODMAN
Bailey Woodman is an accomplished professional dance artist from Toronto, Canada. She began dancing at Kicks Dance Studio in Markham, Ontario at the age of three where she trained in all disciplines of dance. She competed locally and in Europe on the world stage where she fell in love with performing. Bailey also dedicated hours in the studio where she honed her technique and was certified by the Royal Academy of Dance at the age of 16 as an Associate Member of Ballet. Bailey was immediately drawn to the balance of athleticism and artistry and knew this was not just a hobby, but rather a career to dream about and chase after. Always a student, Bailey frequents conventions, masterclasses and workshops across North America to continually nurture her love of dance.
Bailey has been privileged to work professionally on stage, television and in film around the world. Her professional career began at age sixteen as a dancer in Start Me Up! at Canada’s Wonderland. Then she landed a role in the original cast of Starwater onboard Quantum of the Seas, produced in partnership with Moment Factory and Royal Caribbean. It was here that she discovered what would prove to be a lifelong love for the circus. Since then, she has been fortunate enough to be a part of two original casts with Cirque Du Soleil; SAND which debuted in Saudi Arabia, and Tout Écartille which showcased in Quebec. Bailey has also collaborated with The 7 Fingers on two original shows, including Ships In the Night which premiered in Italy where she was selected as the dance captain on this creative show. Some of Bailey’s other credits include: Canada’s 150th Celebration on Parliament Hill (back up dancer for Serena Ryder, Walk off the Earth and Alessia Cara), Veronic Voices (European Tour), Untitled DanceShowPartyThing (dir. Tony-nominated Sam Pinkelton), Invictus Games Closing Ceremonies (dance captain), Yellowpoint Christmas Spectacular (dance captain), Lip Sync Battle: Face a Face and La Voix to name a few.
When Bailey is not performing around the globe, she finds herself teaching, choreographing and adjudicating throughout Canada. Bailey is known for her never-ending supply of positive energy and passion for storytelling. Students are inspired by her enthusiasm, energy and “performance first” full out approach to dancing.
