AMANDA LUNDGREN
Amanda began her love affair with dance at a very young age. That passion led her to study and perform in Montreal, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Europe and finally, Toronto. She studied Contemporary Dance at Concordia University before beginning her professional career with Carnival Cruise Line (CCL). She focused on captivating an audience with body and soul in a variety of styles, being true to herself and growing as an artist. That growth led her to become an inaugural member of both the Carnival Valor and Carnival Dream.
Wanting to intensify her studies, Amanda moved to New York City and continued her education as part of the Steps on Broadway Ensemble. She had the opportunity to perform in the New York Musical Theater Festival, Dumbo Dance Festival, Battery Dance Festival, NuDance Festival and The Latin Choreographers Festival to name a select few. She’s worked with Maria Torres, Ray Hesselink, Tony Stevens, Jason Winters, Derek Mitchell, Bradley Shelver, Peff Modelski and with Karen Gayle’s modern company Xodus Dance Collective.
The opportunity for Amanda to return to CCL presented itself and Amanda accepted. She added vocals to her growing skills, and was one of 4 casts to implement Playlist Productions performing works by Paul Roberts, Layla Ellison, Peter Flynn, Dev Janki and John Tartaglia. Amanda progressed to Dance Captain, Playlist Cast Manager and Supervisor before coming full circle and returned to Toronto where she made her debut at both The Toronto Fringe Festival 2017 in Lysistrata and at The LOT in Dreamgirls.
